Volunteers Needed For Upcoming Events- Join Us!

We have numerous Special Events coming up and would love to have your support! Please see the listings below for information and email volunteer@friendlyhouseinc.org with any questions.

Summer Camp Volunteers (Begins week of June 17th)
We are seeking camp volunteers for our upcoming summer camp and would love for you to join us! Camp volunteers assist the teachers in each group and join on field trips. A commitment to be available for the full week you are signed up for is required and the hours each day are 9-4p. Volunteer spots are open for our youth camp as well as our older kids camp and you are welcome to sign up for multiple weeks. Open to ages 15 and up- this is a great way for students to fulfill school service hours while gaining experience! Required orientation for this will be held on May 28th at 5p or June 10th at 5p – please email volunteer@friendlyhouseinc.org to sign up for one of the orientations or if you have any questions.

Senior Program BBQ (June 28)
This BBQ is always a great time! Come mingle with our Senior Program clients while we serve them lunch and give out raffle prizes! Volunteer tasks include set up and serving or serving and clean up. Raspberry Picking and Jam Making (July 9-12)
Please join us for our super fun Jam Making Project! Meet us at Columbia Farms on Sauvie Island to help us berry pick 300lbs of farm-donated berries and then continue on with us if you’d like to help with processing and jam making at Friendly House. Berry picking is open for the entire family! Processing and jam making requires a food handlers card and must be 15+ years. Signup to get involved here: https://signup.com/go/kbYVOdY

Blackberry Picking and Jam Making (July 17-19)
Please join us for part two of our super fun Jam Making Project! We will be picking, processing and making jam with donated blackberries from The Rowell Brothers Farm in Hillsboro. Berry picking is open for the entire family! Processing and jam making requires a food handlers card and must be 15+ years.
