Engaging after-school care for Chapman Elementary students
Our After School program is designed to meet the Chapman School community’s need for high-quality, affordable care. With our sliding fee scale and scholarship opportunities, we create an inclusive environment for enrichment, recreation, and social development.
Our After School program engages children in age-appropriate curriculum and activities such as art, science, homework help, neighborhood field trips, and playing with friends. Children also have the opportunity to participate in weekly clubs like Photography, Theater, Gardening and Art. On average, our program has a 14:1 child to teacher ratio. The program and its staff are certified by the Child Care Division of Oregon’s Employment Department.

Friendly House has been part of our family for five years now. As working parents, we are grateful to have a safe spot for our children that meets our standards for care and still delights and stimulates our kids. When we pick them up in the evening, they usually try to bargain to stay longer.
Full and partial scholarships may be available to qualifying families through funding from Oregon Department of Education’s Pre-Kindergarten Program and our generous donors.
