Classes & Events
Friendly House brings people together from all walks of life. Through community celebrations, lifelong learning opportunities, arts and culture events, and more, we build a stronger community for all.
Can’t Miss Classes
Take a look at some of our recurring classes and events.
Bring an instrument, music to share, and a desire to sonically commune with new friends on the third Friday of each month. Harmony Music Circle holds a vocally oriented gathering on the second Friday of each month.
Portland Haiku Group
Haiku group for all,
Second Friday every month.
Poem friends unite.
Pickleball combines the best parts of tennis, badminton and table tennis. Sure, you’ll get a workout, but most of all it is fun! Our two regulation-size, indoor courts provide ample space for multiple teams to battle one-on-one or two-on-two for Pickleball glory.
Tai chi is meditation in motion, promoting inner peace and physical health through a series of graceful movements that focus on balance and intention. We’ve got a class for you, no matter your age, ability, or experience.
You don’t need to have mastered crow pose to feel at home in our yoga classes—our classes are great for aspiring and experienced yogis of all levels. Expert instructors will guide you to movements and poses that feel right for you.
Every Friday night, our community center is available to all free of charge, and we offer a family-friendly activity, from movie nights and bingo, to ice cream making and terra cotta pot decorating. See you this Friday!
At Friendly House, we know that when communities come together, sharing perspectives and culture, beautiful things can happen. That’s why each year, we pull out all the stops to bring cross-cultural and community-driven celebrations to all.
Join us for a celebration soon.
