SAGE Metro Portland

LGBT+ older adults are some of the most under-served individuals in our country, so we provide tailored services to meet their needs and those of their caregivers, including case management and support services for LGBT older adults throughout Multnomah County. In addition, we provide advocacy and trainings aimed at increasing the level of LGBT-friendly housing providers in the Portland metro area.

Community Outreach Programming

Friendly House now brings arts-based programming and services to low-income residents of Cascadian Terrace Apartments and five other properties through our partnerships with EngAGE and Home Forward.

Community Meals

Through a partnership with Meals on Wheels People, we now have a meal site for older adults ages 60+, which is especially inclusive of LGBT+ seniors every Monday and Friday at 11:30am. Meal costs are covered by donations, with Senior Services staff members present to help connect folks with essential supports through this welcoming (and delicious) twice-weekly experience.

Resources

Nine decades of work in the community have allowed us to connect with many service providers throughout the Portland area that help folks navigate issues around things like housing, food security, employment, and social justice.
