Friendly House’s 2018 Fall Lunch

Friendly House held our 2018 Fall Lunch on October 25th at the Multnomah Athletic Club. This annual event was sponsored by our friends at HomeStreet Bank and  featured delicious food paired with the company of  friends, both old and new. The program provided an overview of Friendly House programs, by Assistant Director Mya Chamberlin, a vision for Friendly House’s future from Executive Director Vaune Albanese, and short video featuring volunteers and their older adult matches from our “Friendly Visitor” volunteer program.  We also heard from Preschool alum and current board member Miranda Weigler. At the end of the program our guests were given the opportunity to donate to Friendly House, sign up for tours, volunteering, and other ways to engage with our community.

At the Fall Lunch we invite our guests to become Bridge Builders, supporters who pledge $500 or more a year for three years.  We were thrilled to receive seven new Bridge Builder pledges at this year’s lunch! These pledges are  incredibly valuable to Friendly House, because beyond supporting our mission, they allow Friendly House to plan for the future.  Pledges can start as low as $43 a month and make a significant impact on our ability to support all of our essential programming.

Thank you to all the guests who attended and spent an hour learning about Friendly House. If you weren’t able to join us, but still want to hear about what we do and where we are going, we invite you to read the speeches and to watch the video below.  Even though the event is over, we still welcome your support – please consider a donation.
