Services for Seniors and Homeless Families
Friendly House takes a neighbor helping neighbor approach to serving community members in need. Presently, our Services for Seniors and Homeless Families fall into two main categories:
1) Services for homeless families (which may include housing assistance, case management, art therapy classes, referrals and information related to job training and more) and
2) Services to enable seniors to live independently and remain in their homes (including information and assistance, volunteer companions, transportation, social and fitness activities and more).
[The Settlement House] must be grounded in a philosophy whose foundation is on the solidarity of the human race, a philosophy which will not waver when the race happens to be represented by a drunken woman or an idiot boy. -Jane Addams
