Purpose

Our program is a full service after-school program (formerly called “Friendly Chaps”) designed to meet the Chapman School Community’s need for high-quality, affordable school-age care. With our sliding fee scale and scholarship opportunities, we create an inclusive environment for enrichment, recreation, and social development. In the summer, After School becomes Summer Camp, a theme-based day camp for families from throughout the Portland metro area.

What We Do

This program engages children in age-appropriate enrichment activities such as art, science, homework help, sports, field trips, and free-choice time. Children also have the opportunity to participate in clubs like Photography, Theater, Gardening, and Music, usually at no additional cost for families. The program and its qualified and dedicated staff are certified by the Child Care Division of Oregon’s Employment Department.

Hours

Monday through Friday 7am – 8am and 2:15pm – 6pm

After School is open before school, after school, and on most school closure days.
