Friendly House encourages service-learning experiences for youth in Portland by providing volunteer opportunities that teach them that young people are a vital part of the community and have the ability to contribute.

CHILDREN / YOUTH / TEENS

Classroom/Activity Assistant
Preschool (3-5 yrs old)
Friendly Chaps (5-10 yrs old)

Volunteers demonstrate positive behaviors and encourage self-confidence. Foster relationships and trust while engaging in social, recreational and educational activities. Preschool: M-F 8:30am - 12:00pm and 12:30pm - 4:00pm
Chaps: M-F 2:30-6:00 pm

Student volunteers are matched to activities that encourage learning and growth while providing a great experience. Opportunities are available year round. Please contact the volunteer coordinator to find a volunteer project.
