Swing Into Spring 2008 – A Great Success!

Swing Into Spring, Friendly House’s signature auction fundraising event, cleared $171,000! On March 7th, over 260 people gathered to celebrate and support vital Friendly House programs. What a wonderful evening we had!

Friendly House sends a special “thank you” to members of our community for their generosity. Our testimonial speaker, Brongaene Griffin, delivered a moving testimonial and received a standing ovation – the support continued as Bid for Friendly House (a paddle raising to pledge donations) raised over $85,000.

Another evening highlight was a check presentation from Con-way – their matching gift of $40,000 allowed us to pay off the $80,000 Community Center mortgage. It was a true thrill to burn the old mortgage at the event.
