| On
Tuesday, April 29th Friendly House held its 2007-2008 Annual
Awards Ceremony and Party. 80 volunteers, their friends and
families were in attendance.
"Thanks for the wonderful
evening guys. This has been a very rewarding year for me.
In November I received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the
neighborhood and then getting the Edd Crawford Service Award
has made it all overwhelming. It reminds me of when my friend
Bud Clark received a couple of awards about 10 years ago and
he called me to ask if people knew something he didn't. "Does
this mean this is it? Am I checking-out now?" Bud is
still around so I quess I don't have to worry. It was really
special seeing Mary Crawford. My sister took a photo of her
and I that I'll frame and put by the certificate. Thanks again"
