Purpose
Friendly House Community Center
adds to the livability and quality of life in Northwest Portland.
It is a place for neighbors to meet, work, learn and play
together. Our goal is to create opportunities for people to
get involved with their community. We provide activities for
a wide variety of interests, ranging from fitness to enrichment.
What We Do
We provide activities and fitness opportunities
that are accessible to people of all ages, incomes, and abilities.
The Center has an Internet Center; a Fitness Room stocked
with Universal weights, free weights and aerobic equipment;
a book exchange; a full-court basketball gym; meeting
spaces; and a piano.
The Community Center serves more than 35,000
individuals each year.

Membership entitles one to free use of
the facilities during open hours, and discounts on a variety
of events and classes.
Meeting and classrooms can be rented, as
